Reason was simple. Staff Siti simple ignored a guest's presence when she was asked for a cash denomination change. She refused me for the first time because she could not open the cashier without purchase (i bought ticket over the kiosk). I can understand so I waited for a while. For the second time, when she was opening the cashier to service another lady, I requested for the second time if she could help me on the exchange. She simply ignored me like no presence even I was standing right in front of her. Very excellent customer service to appreciate. Her name is Siti as name tag suggested.

Signage was unclear. Those who had redemption voucher for corporate food and beverage was shouted at by the manager (confirmed with the other on duty staff that it was indeed him) assumed people knew which line to go. If you have a receipt to redeem for a pre-purchase paid online, you would assume you go to the “online f&b collection point”. But instead they expected you to queue up at the “food and beverage purchase” line instead. Doesn’t make sense as we’re not purchasing anything, just collection a pre-paid purchase. If GV can’t handle corporate event with a better signage, maybe don’t try to do it. It doesn’t cost much to take a piece of A4 paper and write down clearer instructions and paste over existing queue poles signage.

If you’re looking for an elevated movie experience, Gold Class Cinema at VivoCity is the place to be. From the moment you step into the lounge, you’re greeted with luxury. The seats are plush recliners, allowing you to lie back and enjoy the movie in comfort, with ample space and even a built-in footrest. The service is impeccable. The screen quality and sound are top-notch, providing a premium viewing experience that makes watching even the most anticipated blockbusters feel special. The ambiance of the cinema is quiet and intimate, with a smaller, more exclusive setting, ensuring a private atmosphere compared to typical theaters. While the experience is certainly on the pricier side, it’s worth it for the luxury and convenience. The comfort, service, and premium amenities make it perfect for a special occasion or just a treat-yourself movie night. Gold Class at VivoCity offers a cinematic experience that's hard to beat. I highly recommend this place.

AVOID GOLDCLASS HALL 1 unless you want to ruin your movie experience, and waste your time and money for a lousy experience. Movie stopped twice (and each time there were 10-15 min intervals to wait for it to be fixed) and there were at least 4 glitches throughout the movie. During the credits scene, they even played an annoying “apology announcement” which was uncalled for.

You would love the relatively larger comfortable cushion seats in GVMax. I enjoyed watching 'How to Train a Dragon' here. The dragon and trainer's flights in the sky sceneries across oceans and mountain ridges looked spectacular on the mega cinema screen.

Don’t bother spending money for gold class at GV. Seats are old leather with a thin piece of cloth provided that’s supposedly the “blanket”. Screen is definitely too huge for the first row. It’s difficult to watch the movie and read the subtitles at the same time because the distance is too near. The current first row seats should definitely not be in use. Ordered in hall dining and staff did not place food on the table even though there’s space on it. He just stood there which interrupted our movie viewing because he was waiting for us to take over the food from him?? Ordered truffle fries for 16 bucks and the serving was in a relatively small bowl. Yes, gold class is more premium but for 16 bucks surely you can give more fries?? Comparing the same premium ticket levels, other cinemas are definitely doing a much better job and also offering f&b services at a cheaper rate. Will not use gold class again.

Enjoyed eating here as we were looking for halal food, and we found many choices in this food court. I think there are about 10 stalls selling halal food, with the option of food from Korean, Western, Indonesian, Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese & Malaysian. You can recognize it from the serving tray, green tray means serving halal food. Food taste is okay with reasonable price and fulfilling portion. The foodcourt is quite clean but might be very packed during lunch hour. It is located in the basement, near with MRT connection, right after McDonalds. Recommended stop before heading to Universal Studio.

Lots of food choices. We keep coming back to the Vietnamese stall for their unbeatable spring rolls and yummy grilled pork noodle/rice.
