As the largest Golden Village cinema in Singapore, GV VivoCity opened on October 7, 2006, and has since been the go-to entertainment destination for moviegoers at HarbourFront. With 15 screens offering Digital 2D, 3D, Gold Class, GVMax, and GVMax Atmos options, this flagship multiplex delivers premium cinematic experiences that few other venues in Singapore can match. The sheer scale and variety of viewing options make it a preferred choice for both casual moviegoers and cinema enthusiasts seeking the ultimate big-screen experience.
The crown jewel of GV VivoCity is the GVMax Atmos hall, featuring Southeast Asia's widest cinema screen at 22.4 metres and one of the world's largest Dolby Atmos installations with 67 independent speakers. This gigantic stadium-like auditorium seats 602 people and provides an immersive audio-visual experience that transforms blockbusters into unforgettable events. For those seeking luxury, the three Gold Class cinemas offer reclinable leather seats, personalised butler service, exclusive lounge access, and a gourmet menu that elevates movie nights into premium occasions. These Gold Class halls provide concierge service and dining options that go far beyond standard cinema fare.
Located at 1 HarbourFront Walk within VivoCity, the cinema is easily accessible via HarbourFront MRT station. Current promotions include student discounts for 2D and 3D tickets at selected premium halls (GVmax Dolby Atmos, Duo Deluxe, Deluxe Plus, and Gemini) for sessions before 6pm Monday to Friday, valid throughout 2026. With its convenient location, extensive screen options, and world-class technology, GV VivoCity remains a cornerstone of Singapore's entertainment landscape and the perfect spot to catch the latest Hollywood blockbusters, Asian cinema, or indie films.

Damn it, this is absolutely terrible. I’m dealing with low blood sugar and tapering off medication, and they still wouldn’t let me bring in a drink—even though I already bought a ticket! This is by far the worst cinema in Singapore. The service is horrible, especially that woman at the ticket check—what the hell is wrong with her? Seriously, this place is a disgrace.

AVOID GOLDCLASS HALL 1 unless you want to ruin your movie experience, and waste your time and money for a lousy experience.
Movie stopped twice (and each time there were 10-15 min intervals to wait for it to be fixed) and there were at least 4 glitches throughout the movie.
During the credits scene, they even played an annoying “apology announcement” which was uncalled for.

Don’t bother spending money for gold class at GV. Seats are old leather with a thin piece of cloth provided that’s supposedly the “blanket”. Screen is definitely too huge for the first row. It’s difficult to watch the movie and read the subtitles at the same time because the distance is too near. The current first row seats should definitely not be in use. Ordered in hall dining and staff did not place food on the table even though there’s space on it. He just stood there which interrupted our movie viewing because he was waiting for us to take over the food from him?? Ordered truffle fries for 16 bucks and the serving was in a relatively small bowl. Yes, gold class is more premium but for 16 bucks surely you can give more fries?? Comparing the same premium ticket levels, other cinemas are definitely doing a much better job and also offering f&b services at a cheaper rate. Will not use gold class again.

Reason was simple. Staff Siti simple ignored a guest's presence when she was asked for a cash denomination change. She refused me for the first time because she could not open the cashier without purchase (i bought ticket over the kiosk). I can understand so I waited for a while. For the second time, when she was opening the cashier to service another lady, I requested for the second time if she could help me on the exchange. She simply ignored me like no presence even I was standing right in front of her. Very excellent customer service to appreciate. Her name is Siti as name tag suggested.

Signage was unclear.
Those who had redemption voucher for corporate food and beverage was shouted at by the manager (confirmed with the other on duty staff that it was indeed him) assumed people knew which line to go. If you have a receipt to redeem for a pre-purchase paid online, you would assume you go to the “online f&b collection point”. But instead they expected you to queue up at the “food and beverage purchase” line instead. Doesn’t make sense as we’re not purchasing anything, just collection a pre-paid purchase. If GV can’t handle corporate event with a better signage, maybe don’t try to do it. It doesn’t cost much to take a piece of A4 paper and write down clearer instructions and paste over existing queue poles signage.

You would love the relatively larger comfortable cushion seats in GVMax. I enjoyed watching 'How to Train a Dragon' here. The dragon and trainer's flights in the sky sceneries across oceans and mountain ridges looked spectacular on the mega cinema screen.

Nice ambience. Good sound system. Wonderful movie experience.
I wish they had 4-5 minutes break at interval for bio break. It was a long Tamil movie, CAPTAIN MILLER.
I wondered how they expect people to sit through-out or go to bio break during gripping movie. Didn't drink drop of water entire 3 hours.. mmmmm

The snacks are a little overpriced.... the movie theater is not bad though. Seats are typical size with a drink holder and the seats are decent comfortability. Sound quality and screen qualitt is quite good and the advestisements before the movie r quite intresting to watch

The cinema has alot of theatres for the normal screening. There are also 3 Gold Class movie theatres. Entrance of Golden Village at level 2 and you will need to take the escalator to level 3 where the snacks bar and check in area are. Big space are at level 3 where they will showcase the latest movie figuring and merchandise, hence able to take photo with the latest movie figures.
