Nice traditional sponge cake.
Itâs not that sweet and itâs great.
Tried the double flavours.
The cheese is with two layers of cheddar cheese at the bottom.
On top is the sponge cake.
The original is very soft and not too sweet too.
4 star for the old gentle man who sold us almost 400 gms loaf of cheesecake for the price of one slice, SGD12.50. He found out we were tourist and said welcome to SG and asked us which we'd prefer, I love the original so ordered one slice after dinner to go, to our surprise he handed the loaf â„ïž. As far as the cheesecake itself I've had better but the hospitality of Singaporeans is what amazes us.
The customer service is very bad. The young girl at the cashier counter is so rude like her boss owe her a lot salary. They need to train their staff to talk to customers in a friendly manner especially at the cashier. The cake is not freshly baked, cold and extremely sweet.
Tried Ah Mah pandan Castella Cake at VivoCity
Itâs been a while since I last had castella cake, but I couldnât resist when I passed by a stall at the VivoCity basement food walk.
The pandan flavor caught my eye, and they were making the cakes fresh on the spot â it was fun watching them flip the cakes and cut them precisely.
The price is slightly on the higher side ($12 plus) , but it seems they use quality ingredients, which shows in the taste. The cake was soft, fluffy, and had that lovely jiggly texture.
I was pretty happy with it overall and would definitely buy it again if the craving strikes.
We bought one pack of castellan cake on last Sat afternoon between 3 pm to 5 pm for Sun breakfast.
The taste of the cake is not fresh as before. It could be unsold cakes for a certain duration. However we proceed to take as it's not spoilt.
However, today we take a few more pieces and realized the taste is not right. We conclude the castella cake could have been unsold for few days or other reasons that result it's taste being not good.
Thus, we truly hope the management could look into maintaining freshness of the cakes.
In terms of customer services, it's generally ok. The cashier attending to us is polite. However there is another female staff who ignored us and turned her head away even when we said thank you.
Had tried their cakes before. This time tried their kuehs. Despite getting them in the evening, they still taste fresh and soft, not too sweet. The Ang ku kueh is a must buy. Better than some famous brands.
incident took place on15 Jan during lunch time around 12.50 PM. the lady wearing white shirt, Chinese, plump, in her 40s or older, rolled her eyes on me after I told her my order. i was polite and ordered âone cheeseâ. what was this rude lady doing at that time, she was cutting a big piece of cake and turned her back and picked up the cake right above the oven after hearing my order. i donât mind waiting but why did she has to rolled her eyes on the customer? the whole experience was awful and i will stop buying from this outlet.
Ms Joanne Tan at Vivo City outlet did an excellent service to re-string my Oakley spectacles.
She is polite and professional.
I will come back to make glasses with her again.
The first impression that last! Very passionate and professional optician I've ever met. Do look for Christina. She is very detailed and immaculate in her work. Kudos! W Optics @Vivo City.
