New Balance Store @ VivoCity – Renovated and Refreshed Recently purchased a pair of sneakers and a T-shirt from the New Balance store at VivoCity. The store appears to have undergone renovation — it’s now noticeably brighter and more spacious compared to the previous layout, which felt narrow and cramped. While the selection remains somewhat limited and there aren’t many discounts, the quality and materials of the products are solid and reliable. Overall, a pleasant shopping experience. Will definitely consider returning in the future.

Salesperson Ong— no surprises someone already did the Lord’s work and snapped a photo of him in previous comments. The moment I entered, I could hear him making passive-aggressive snide remarks you’d expect from plebs at a coffee shop, clearly proud of his rhetoric and fully intending for customers to hear. Poisoning a younger, impressionable colleague with his own inferiority complex. Human to human, please seek help. If you can’t treat people with basic respect, you shouldn’t be in sales—but frankly , we both know you wouldn’t last anywhere else with that attitude. Management obviously sleeping on these complaints. Walked in ready to spend a few hundred, walked out with him packing. Here's a one star for at least not bothering me with a facade.

Been a fan of Asics shoes and when my old pair finally gave way after years, i visited Vivo with much excitement. True enough, the shoes did not disappoint but the staff are utterly disappointing and I did not manage to leave the shop with any buys although a few pairs caught my eyes. The two staff were busy at the cashier when I needed assistance, i waited. When the customers were cleared at the cashier, i approached one of them to ask for my desired size to try. Instead of going into the storeroom to check, i was informed immediately that my size was out of stock. So was another pair, and another pair. Much later, i was told that i could special order if i needed a small size. I was hopeful at that and when i asked for any sample to just make sure my size is right, the lady staff just passed me the sample size and walked away. I was really into the shoes and i was left wondering and helping myself. When i looked up, i was the only one in store and both staff just kept to the cashier. No assistance. I was so genuine in buying and to be a happy shopper, to support Asics as usual. But i did not. I gave up. Asics was disappointing. Sigh. Oh and worse is, when my husband helped to ask... they gave a different info. It was size 6 being the smallest available at one point then size 6.5 being the smallest available at another point. I just wanted to try 6.5 & 7. No shoes in the whole shop has my size?!

Loved the customer service here! Was served by what looked to be a malay dude, slender build. Asked to try out the Novablast 4 that I had been hearing many people rave about online, and wanted to try it out in person here. This man had no qualms about digging through the stock to find my size to try it on- even after requesting another size that might fit me better! This was while there were many other potential customers in the store, yet he gave me his undivided attention. Questioned him about which kind of shoe I should get based on my feet type and he was adequately informed to answer it with what shoe would fit my needs best! What I felt this staff could work on was showing his best to the customer. He was on the quiet side and wouldn't have been able to show much enthusiasm and friendliness about the product when serving!

Served well by Wendy today. She maintained her professionalism and was very polite and cheerful to each customer and helped assist to her best ability despite the busyness of the store and even had to handle 4 customers at one time. Please help to ensure there is enough staff in the store so that your staff is not overworked!

Possibly the store with the worst customer experience in SG. Walked in ready to drop $600+ on the best Metaspeed Sky and another trainer. Was asked to find my own size on the display wall. When I approached the staff to try the other side of the shoe (as display rack only has one side of the shoe), i was given the Metaspeed Edge. I also discovered a defective pair of shoes, and the store only had 1 pair in stock. How am I supposed to purchase anything?? Staff was rude and went away immediately after handing me the shoe. I was the only customer there. Seriously Asics, learn from Nike and Adidas. Your products are great. But everything else? Utterly garbage. Congrats, you lost a loyal customer. In my opinion, no one should patronise this outlet. But if you do, check the shoes. From the pictures, you can see an identation on one side. This is caused by improper cutting of the fabric. The other picture shows what a normal shoe looks like. Do not purchase if there are such issues. This will cause pain for long runs.

Went to this outlet at least 3 times in the past 5 months. The last few times left the shop without buying anything. The last time chatted with a friendly staff named Ong (based on other's review) for 10 minutes and walked out undecided. Yesterday was served by a Malay staff and Wendy. Asked a lot of questions about availability, colours, difference, etc. Found out this outlet doesn't have trail running shoes. In the end, settled for a Kayano. Although the outlet was closing soon, Wendy was patient with me. Great customer service! If you want a good shopping experience, please be at the outlet by 8pm. So that you have ample time to try out different models.

We visited the store on 21st December 2024 and the store was closed at 9.15pm instead of 9.30pm as stated online. Shutters were already in placed. Stood outside the store thinking whether they will let us in but the manager saw and ignored us carrying on with his closing.

On 12/10/2024, i visited the Vivo Outlet with a group of friends to purchase running shoes. We brought our cups of drinks (bubble tea ) into the store and being considerate individuals, we made sure not to drink in the store. Moments later, my friend accidentally spilled his drink as it toppled over and made a small puddle of tea on the floor and the chair. We acted fast and apologised to the store manager (the one in the photo), who goes by the name of Ong. My friend requested for tissues to clean up after himself out of basic courtesy and manners. However, Ong was still not satisfied with the cleanliness of the area and proceeded to mop the floor. While mopping, Ong (being a store manager and customer service staff) he cussed out indirectly at us, telling other customers "wow.. look at all these people without a family upbringing" in mandarin. In my opinion, it was very unnecessary to pull such an insult to YOUR CUSTOMERS. Is this how you treat your customers even though they made a genuine mistake? Yes, we did make a mistake. But we did take action immediately to rectify the situation so that it does not affect other customers in the store as well. We still left with purchasing few pairs of our running shoes , however because of Ong we felt that the experience could've been better. Those who are thinking of heading here, becareful of this man, Ong. Very rude indeed.

Was trying the Gel Nimbus as I always wear the Gel Kayano series. The staff at there showed me her kind of impatient, annoyed attitude when I asked her to look for my size. Not asking you to smile all the time but ya you work at retail, facing customers is your daily work. I ended up walking out of the store even though i like the shoes. Date / time : 03-Jan-2025, 430pm.
