IMAMURA delivers an extraordinary Japanese fine dining experience on Sentosa Island, housed in a beautifully restored 1,600 square foot colonial chapel within Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa. Led by renowned Michelin-starred Chef Hirofumi Imamura, who earned his star at Kazuo Okada in Hong Kong, this intimate 13-seat counter restaurant offers unparalleled access to culinary artistry. With over 20 years of experience, Chef Imamura follows the philosophy that simplicity is paramount, allowing premium ingredients to shine through meticulous preparation. The ancient Japanese philosophy of Five, encompassing tastes, colours, laws, abilities, and senses, guides every dish, creating a harmonious blend of traditional Japanese essence and innovative culinary flair.
The omakase experience at IMAMURA showcases seasonal menus meticulously curated to highlight the finest flavours of each period, with dishes that sparkle with innovation and surprise. Each meal begins with a vibrant salad featuring 25 different vegetables cut into precise 4cm slivers, accompanied by an array of artisanal salts and dips that demonstrate attention to the smallest details. Signature creations include an inventive take on Shigureni, traditionally beef stewed with ginger, reimagined as a symphony of flavours and textures. The Gohan box set presents either unagi or miso-marinated beef alongside an impressive array of rice condiments, while shiso leaves grown in the restaurant's own garden are steeped in Sauvignon Blanc for months, creating a refreshing palate cleanser served ceremoniously in a 350-year-old antique cup.
With only 13 seats at the counter, Chef Imamura personally engages with each guest, explaining dishes in detail and creating an intimate connection between kitchen and diner. The Signature Menu at S50++ per guest and Daytime Dining Menu at S00++ including Telmont Champagne offer exceptional value for Michelin-caliber cuisine. IMAMURA's exclusive sake selection features exceptionally pure offerings from Ninki-ichi brewery in Fukushima, brewed using traditional Japanese kettle steaming methods. This is destination dining that transforms a meal into a profound cultural journey, perfect for special celebrations or for those seeking Singapore's most authentic and elevated Japanese culinary experiences.

I’m genuinely impressed; one of the more unique and better kaiseiki I’ve had in Singapore! Dishes are well thought out and with interesting explanations on the origin of ingredients. They also arranged transport to fetch us home at the end of the meal – now that’s hospitality! I just wish it wasn’t so far all in the way in Sentosa 😆

It’s not a permanent goodbye and I hope chef Hiro San soon can find a new place in town to start Imamura restaurant again . This is one restaurant that I hate to see it go . Chef Hiro has been on top of his cuisine since the opening and I have been at his table in every single menu change . His attention to details are so high that many chef will not even come close and on top of it his balance of flavor and the freshness of each ingredients he uses are all top notch . Last night dinner was impeccable, probably the best so far as he tailor all his best for me just for this night knowing that I will always love his food . For those that hasn’t experience Imamura I hope you still can get a reservation before the curtain closes at end of August . I pray this is a temporary good bye and not a permanent one 🙏

Amazing place! The chef was very friendly. He patiently showed and explained the ingredients used for each dishes and where they are from.
The staffs were great and super polite too! They noticed the small details and provide necessary services to their guests ☺️ Foods were very delicious and pretty! Can feel a-lot of effort put in by the chef and his assistants.
Even received a small gift after meal hehe.
Will definitely be back for their seasonal menu!

We were staying at the hotel where this hidden gem is located. The food was superb and the ambient was intimate yet welcoming. The staffs were very attentive and the chefs shared a lot of information about the origin of the food and the vision they try to achieve with each dish. I really enjoy our dining experience here and I consider they have created some of the best Japanese dishes I have so far. I would definitely return again when I am in town.
