I’m genuinely impressed; one of the more unique and better kaiseiki I’ve had in Singapore! Dishes are well thought out and with interesting explanations on the origin of ingredients. They also arranged transport to fetch us home at the end of the meal – now that’s hospitality! I just wish it wasn’t so far all in the way in Sentosa 😆

It’s not a permanent goodbye and I hope chef Hiro San soon can find a new place in town to start Imamura restaurant again . This is one restaurant that I hate to see it go . Chef Hiro has been on top of his cuisine since the opening and I have been at his table in every single menu change . His attention to details are so high that many chef will not even come close and on top of it his balance of flavor and the freshness of each ingredients he uses are all top notch . Last night dinner was impeccable, probably the best so far as he tailor all his best for me just for this night knowing that I will always love his food . For those that hasn’t experience Imamura I hope you still can get a reservation before the curtain closes at end of August . I pray this is a temporary good bye and not a permanent one 🙏

The new summer menu has arrived, and it looks fantastic! We always enjoy our time here, especially with the seasonal changes that keep things fresh and exciting. Looking forward to seeing you soon, Chef!

Amazing place! The chef was very friendly. He patiently showed and explained the ingredients used for each dishes and where they are from. The staffs were great and super polite too! They noticed the small details and provide necessary services to their guests ☺️ Foods were very delicious and pretty! Can feel a-lot of effort put in by the chef and his assistants. Even received a small gift after meal hehe. Will definitely be back for their seasonal menu!

We were staying at the hotel where this hidden gem is located. The food was superb and the ambient was intimate yet welcoming. The staffs were very attentive and the chefs shared a lot of information about the origin of the food and the vision they try to achieve with each dish. I really enjoy our dining experience here and I consider they have created some of the best Japanese dishes I have so far. I would definitely return again when I am in town.

The affable Chef Imamura shares with diners about his preferences to source ingredients from ethical farms and small businesses. He also has many his 'crazy farmer stories' to tell, so that we can understand a little about the philosophies behind a farm and its quality products. The farther-from-town venue lends a totally relaxing and elegant vibe as expected of a splendid kaiseki meal. While the entire team is crucial to churning out the dishes seamlessly and on point for every flavor and texture, and the team took turns to explain some of dishes and desserts to us, we appreciated how Chef Imamura himself checked in with us and prepped our food too. He does that for every diner. I really liked how the fish is done here. The amadai and somen in dashi was lovely, as was the seared kinki. I'm really fond of how the kitchen manages the binchotan-heat versus the delicate fish. I'm not a fan of truffles, so I'll skip the truffles on rice the next round and request for mushrooms or a fish for the donabe-gohan. I understand that for these two months, the team might use keiji salmon for the rice, which would be a wonderful use of the fish this season. I took the Signature Menu, and I'll return to have its Seasonal Menu. I appreciate how the team said that they could switch out ingredients for diners if there're severe allergens or dislikes. Of course as diners, let us be considerate — please do not be picky and switch out everything. Pro-tip: skip the matcha at the end of the meal if you're caffeine-intolerant at this late timing in the evening.

Imamura is by far the best Japanese fine dining we’ve tried in Singapore. Located inside the Amara Hotel, you’re immediately transported to Japan - with its cobble stone walk way all the way to inside the restaurant. They use only the freshest and the best ingredients from Japan. There are lots of details in every dish. And dishes including dessert do not disappoint! The service was spot on - with staff paying attention to the finest details. Highly recommend !

Really good. Love the food. Chef's friendly and shares about where he source the food and each dish is carefully crafted right in front of you. Flavours are balance and pays respect to the ingredients and the ingredients express the "terroir". Happy to find a really good Omakase and it's one of those despite the premium price you'll feel it's well worth it.

It’s a journey into the intricacies of Japanese fine dining, from the Intimate and beautifully decorated venue, to the painstakingly curated crockery and cutlery. Against that background, Chef Imamura serves food made by the freshest ingredients, shipped 4X a week from Japan, including seafood, beef and vegetables (which is rarely a focus of Japanese restaurants). Like what you can expect from Japanese fine dining restaurants, presentation is immaculate. Finally, the service of the restaurant staff, led by manager Zachary, is exemplary. As an example, he’d wait at the car park for guests to arrive, to give you a tour of the premises and garden, and, at the end of the meal, walk you back to the car (with a lantern in hand for illumination 😄) Overall it was an immersion into what the best of Japanese fine dining can offer. It was befitting the occasion - the tenth anniversary of our wedding.

Can’t believe it took me so long to go Imamura. More than just a great Omakase, it was a beautiful journey of culinary discovery. Chef's passion for personalization and his ability to create his signatures and pairing sauces were truly impressive. The attention to detail and creativity made for an unforgettable evening.
