KA-MON represents a groundbreaking concept in Japanese dining, being Singapore's first restaurant to unite three iconic Japanese grilling traditions—irori, robatayaki, and warayaki—under one roof at Resorts World Sentosa. Helmed by renowned Chef Hal Yamashita and located in Hotel Michael, this casual Japanese restaurant elevates traditional grilling techniques into a contemporary dining experience that honors centuries of culinary heritage. The restaurant's "New Japanese" approach brings modern interpretations to classic ingredients while maintaining the authenticity that defines each grilling method.
The menu showcases this trinity of techniques through carefully crafted dishes like the Aged Breast of Duck, slowly grilled over robatayaki to achieve medium-rare perfection with crisp skin, and Jumbo Tiger Prawns skewered and charcoal-grilled in irori style. Signature appetizers include the luxurious Organic Eggs & Ikura layered with Hokkaido uni and the inventive Wagyu Beef Tartare reimagining Yukke with soy, garlic, sesame, and gochujang. The traditional Donabe rice cooked over grilled fish bone dashi demonstrates the kitchen's commitment to authentic Japanese cooking methods, while the Mont Blanc "Flower" dessert adds an elegant finishing touch to the meal.
Set within Resorts World Sentosa's dining landscape, KA-MON offers both locals and tourists an accessible entry point into sophisticated Japanese grilling traditions without the formality of fine dining establishments. The casual atmosphere allows diners to appreciate the artistry of live-fire cooking while enjoying the resort island's relaxed vibe. For anyone seeking authentic Japanese flavors prepared with traditional techniques in a contemporary setting, KA-MON delivers a unique culinary experience that sets it apart from conventional Japanese restaurants in Singapore.

It was a lovely and unexpected dinner.
Thank you to Ying Sing for the warm and friendly service.
Although it was just a simple dinner, the food and service were really excellent. Every dish was very tasty.
Thanks to Mason for arranging hot tea for my parents — the staff’s kind and thoughtful service made us feel very comfortable.
Also, thank you to Jack for always helping us refill water and change plates.
I hope to come back again next time with my colleagues and friends. The restaurant also provides complimentary parking, which is very convenient.

We had dinner here last night & enjoyed the experience. The restaurant strikes a beautiful balance between casual comfort & fine dining elegance. We were seated at the counter, which gave us a front-row view of the open kitchen.
Watching the chef prepare each course in front of us added a sense of intimacy & appreciation for the craft behind the dishes. Being served directly by the chef made the meal feel even more personal & engaging.
The food was thoughtfully presented & tasted just as good as it looked. Every dish was flavourful & well-executed, showcasing quality ingredients & skilled technique.
Ka-Mon is a great choice for an elevated yet relaxed dining experience at RWS. We’d recommend sitting at the counter to fully enjoy the live grilling & chef interaction.

This is quite a fresh dining concept under RWS, focusing on Japanese styled robatayaki. Loosely translated to anything that’s grilled. Seafood meats or veges.
The seafoods like the scallops and prawns were really nice. I’m hearing that they had to switch 3 suppliers to get the best prawns and they weren’t kidding. The grilled prawns were the bomb.
Try the steak and iberico pork belly in miso. Oysters are also nice as well. Prices are pretty reasonable here so they won’t financially kill you. Service was brisk and attentive.
Definitely worth a return

My partner found this gem while looking for a restaurant near Sentosa/Harbourfront, and it’s now one of our favourite restaurants. Everything was amazing, but if i had to point out -
Hokkaido Scallop, very flavourful and tender.
Pork Cutlet, crispy on the outside - it was crispy throughout the entire meal, tender inside. best part was it was not oily at all!
Ribeye, tender, not too chewy. we loved it
Every dish was well presented and delicious, we enjoyed the dinner very much. Service was friendly and attentive, Ambience was great. Highly recommended 😋
