Every dish was amazing and delicious. Different flavours and each dish was excitement to our tastebuds. The service was great as well. Attentive service from the whole team, especially Kevin who was giving recommendations and explained the different grill methods the restaurant features. Overall great place and i would love to come back again!

It was a lovely and unexpected dinner. Thank you to Ying Sing for the warm and friendly service. Although it was just a simple dinner, the food and service were really excellent. Every dish was very tasty. Thanks to Mason for arranging hot tea for my parents — the staff’s kind and thoughtful service made us feel very comfortable. Also, thank you to Jack for always helping us refill water and change plates. I hope to come back again next time with my colleagues and friends. The restaurant also provides complimentary parking, which is very convenient.

We had dinner here last night & enjoyed the experience. The restaurant strikes a beautiful balance between casual comfort & fine dining elegance. We were seated at the counter, which gave us a front-row view of the open kitchen. Watching the chef prepare each course in front of us added a sense of intimacy & appreciation for the craft behind the dishes. Being served directly by the chef made the meal feel even more personal & engaging. The food was thoughtfully presented & tasted just as good as it looked. Every dish was flavourful & well-executed, showcasing quality ingredients & skilled technique. Ka-Mon is a great choice for an elevated yet relaxed dining experience at RWS. We’d recommend sitting at the counter to fully enjoy the live grilling & chef interaction.

This is quite a fresh dining concept under RWS, focusing on Japanese styled robatayaki. Loosely translated to anything that’s grilled. Seafood meats or veges. The seafoods like the scallops and prawns were really nice. I’m hearing that they had to switch 3 suppliers to get the best prawns and they weren’t kidding. The grilled prawns were the bomb. Try the steak and iberico pork belly in miso. Oysters are also nice as well. Prices are pretty reasonable here so they won’t financially kill you. Service was brisk and attentive. Definitely worth a return

My partner found this gem while looking for a restaurant near Sentosa/Harbourfront, and it’s now one of our favourite restaurants. Everything was amazing, but if i had to point out - Hokkaido Scallop, very flavourful and tender. Pork Cutlet, crispy on the outside - it was crispy throughout the entire meal, tender inside. best part was it was not oily at all! Ribeye, tender, not too chewy. we loved it Every dish was well presented and delicious, we enjoyed the dinner very much. Service was friendly and attentive, Ambience was great. Highly recommended 😋

Stepped in for lunch on a weekday. Not crowded, staff welcomed us with big smiles. Restaurant has a U-shape seating area. A bar on 1 end and the middle is the open concept kitchen. The flame and charcoal grilling could be seen from anywhere in the restaurant or you could just choose to have counter seats facing the kitchen. Menu was provided on a tablet by the staff. Each dish described with its ingredients and prices displayed. We went for ala-carte instead of their set lunches as I had vouchers to make use of. We ordered whatever you see in my pictures provided. From apps to main dish to snack and desserts. I am unable to mention any dish specifically as every single dish was well-made. Although Ka-mon specialises in their open fire grilling and other forms of grill, we only had some yakitori and a grilled salmon to enjoy that fiery goodness. Great service throughout the entire dinner service. Service staff promptly cleared our empty dishes and refilled our tea cups whenever it halved. Look forward to try their set lunches another time. Update revisit for the set lunch. There were 5 set lunches to choose from, Went for the Pork Katsu set. Bento style served with pickles, 2 makis and a miso soup. Pork katsu was sliced and served on a bed of japanese pearl rice with shredded cabbage drizzled with sesame sauce. Food tasted quite ok. Katsu was good, paired with a mustardy sauce. Adequate portion. Dessert was a mochi ice cream. Soft exterior with a cold milky interior. Set comes with coffee/tea but I skipped it as I preferred warm water.

When I found out about Ka-Mon, a place serving dishes prepared with three different types of Japanese Grilling methods, I know I got to try the food here. Especially when this place features two types of grilling, namely Genshiyaki: an ancient way of grilling, and Warayaki: straw-fired grilling, that I have never tried before. I always love grilled food because grilling unlocks a special type of sweetness that adds complexity to the original taste of the ingredients. And at here, I actually get to savour the subtle differences in taste between each grilling methods. Robatayaki has a mild light sweet char, Ancient Grilling packs more oomph in the char while Straw-Fried Grilling has a char with vegetal sweet aroma. I also love the variety of grilled food options, from aged duck breast, scallop, prawn, pork to tender juicy wagyu, so everyone can enjoy one's favourite grilled protein here. They also have value for money set lunches, Japanese appetisers, sashimi and such. The set lunches look popular, since the restaurant is almost full, with quite of number of patrons ordering the set lunch. Since I'm specially here for thde different types of grilled food, I resist the temptation of the set lunch and order items from each type of grill instead. And yes, I'm very happy with my choice because they are so delicious, hitting the sweet spot, inciting moments of "wow". The place is very spacious with modern Japanese vibe, full of wooden panels of different shades, shiny brick red tiles and a centrepiece of open kitchen counter, where patrons can see the chefs in action. The service here is awesome, being attentive, friendly and professional. So yes, this place is a must-visit, for enjoying awesome grilled food plus other Japanese fare and experiencing something different. Robatayaki Hokkaido Scallop with Avruga Caviar, Gochujang Butter, Garlic Chucks is luxurious and is the most flavourful scallop. It has a creamy taste at its core, tempered with light sweet char and savoury buttery flavour, to give complexity and body to the taste. The crispy garlic adds a good crunchiness to the bouncy, succulent texture of the scallop. Genshiyaki Grill Jumbo Tiger Prawn is slowly cooked by placing the skewered prawn besides a stack of burning charcoal. This is where I get to taste the difference in taste due to different grilling. The prawn grilled Genshiyaki way features a char that is more pronounced and intense. Prawn is tender with a good bite, moist and sweet. I love this too. For Warayaki Grill Tataki, I opt for Australian Wagyu MB7, where ingredients with simulating taste such as Daikon, Ponsu, Shiso, Myoga are added, yielding mouthfuls of exciting, tangy flavours. The Wagyu, carefully grilled with straw, is meaty, juicy, with an extra sweetness from the vegetal sweet. The sweetness of the meat is accentuated by the different elements of this dish. Aged Breast of Duck, dressed with Gobo Purée, Tare, Fuji Apple features this incredible crispy skin, succulent texture, milky base notes and this warm savoury sweetness. It tastes so different from other ducks, in a very good way. Chicken Tsukune and Chicken Wing are best savoured when hot. Chicken Tsukune is pillowy, meaty and juicy while the Chicken Wing has a nice crispy skin and is so flavourful. And they go so well with the raw egg yolk soaked in soy sauce. Thoughts: The Place I will go to for Japanese Grilled Food!

Ka-mon at RWS is a gem that encapsulates a casual and upscale dining experience. The restaurant boasts a spacious and comfortable ambience, making it ideal for a relaxed meal. Conveniently located near the RWS Monorail and Universal Studios Singapore, it’s easy to reach and a great spot to unwind after exploring the area. The food was delightful—particularly the tonkatsu, which was crispy and perfectly cooked. My personal favorite was the bara chirashi, featuring fresh diced sashimi mixed beautifully with rice. While the yaki udon leaned a bit on the sweeter side for my liking, it was still a commendable dish. Service was impeccable, with polite and attentive staff ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Given the quality of food, service, and overall experience, the pricing felt just right. Highly recommended for both locals and tourists

Countless visits since our 1st! Today's visit 29th June was exceptionally good, all the food including Hamachi Collar was praised by all! Sally's service was above and beyond and beyond, we had a table with young children and senior and she was so meticulous and attentive with all the services we needed! And as always Chef Walter is the best! ‐-----‐---------------‐---------------------------------- Absolutely blown away by Kamon! This newly opened gem, launched in January 2025, has instantly soared to the top of our "must-return" list. From the moment we stepped in, we were enveloped in an atmosphere that perfectly balanced casual warmth with elegant sophistication. The service was impeccable, with every member of the staff radiating genuine hospitality. A special shoutout to Hilary, whose thoughtful recommendations made our first visit truly memorable. He guided us through the menu with expertise and enthusiasm, ensuring we experienced the best Kamon had to offer. However, the true star of the evening was Chef Walter. His culinary artistry was nothing short of mind-blowing. Each dish was a masterpiece, perfectly grilled and bursting with flavor. But it wasn't just the food that impressed us. Chef Walter went above and beyond, engaging with our young children and turning the live grill experience into a captivating show. His warmth and genuine care made our family feel incredibly welcome. All the staff took the initiative to explain the dishes to us! Watching Legendary Chef Walter work his magic while enjoying the delectable cuisine was an experience we won't soon forget. The combination of the stunning ambience, the exceptional service, and Chef Walter's extraordinary talent has cemented Kamon as our new favorite restaurant. We are already planning our next visit, eager to relive this unforgettable dining experience. If you're looking for a restaurant that delivers on every level, Kamon is an absolute must-try.
