City Chain Primo represents a significant evolution in watch retail at VivoCity, marking the brand's first foray into the luxury timepiece market after over 30 years of success in mainstream watch retail. Located at unit #B2-02A in the basement level of VivoCity, this specialized boutique brings prestigious Swiss watchmaking to Singapore's largest shopping mall, offering genuine high-quality luxury watches at competitive prices. The Primo concept was born from City Chain's commitment to connecting customers with renowned international watchmakers while maintaining the accessibility and service standards that built their reputation across multiple locations.
The inaugural Primo boutique introduced three distinguished luxury brands to City Chain's portfolio: Frederique Constant, Oris, and Ball—names that represent Swiss watchmaking excellence at its finest. Frederique Constant, founded in 1988, has rapidly become famous worldwide for affordable luxury and cutting-edge design. Ball timepieces honour early American railroad pioneers with names like "Engineer" and "Trainmaster," representing unwavering dedication to accuracy, precision, and reliability. Beyond these luxury names, the store also stocks popular brands including CASIO G-SHOCK, Solvil et Titus, and Timex, alongside an extensive Seiko collection, catering to diverse tastes and budgets within the watch enthusiast community.
What distinguishes City Chain Primo from typical watch retailers is the rigorous quality control standards that ensure every timepiece—regardless of price point—is authentic, genuine, and competitively priced. The VivoCity location benefits from the mall's high foot traffic of both tourists and locals, making it an ideal destination for those seeking everything from sporty CASIO models to sophisticated Swiss luxury pieces. For watch enthusiasts and gift-shoppers alike, City Chain Primo at VivoCity offers a curated selection backed by decades of retail expertise, bringing the artistry and precision of international watchmaking to Singapore's waterfront shopping precinct where quality and authenticity are guaranteed from one of Asia's most trusted watch retail names.

This place wasted our time. Me and my wife came now 8th February to buy some watch but the sign says they are closed! We traveled all the way from Jurong Point because the stocks are here but no one! Shop is closed!

TLDR: Paid $25 for battery replacement, staff used an almost dead battery.
Went to this outlet to get my watch battery replaced. As my watch doesn't have a secondhand, I just got it done, paid $25 for the battery and left. Checked the time while I was still in Vivocity and noticed the time was still right.
However, after I got home, I realised the time on my watch was way behind. Naturally thought my watch was done for, and decided to get it checked at a different watch shop (Vincent Watch @ Tampines Mall). Turns out the battery that was given to me at City Chain Primo Vivocity was close to bust, and the problem was not with my watch.
I'd recommend you to be mindful to not change your batteries here. Also, I'll never patronise this place in the future for the reasons stated.

The staff was so unfriendly and un-attentive. My friend is strolling and asking for a certain watch price that we got kind of interested in. A man with specs senior staff associate, rude and unattentive. Not worth the money or time spend. Take note, They will look down on customer that are just strolling. We initially wanted to purchase the watch, but seeing how uninterested and negligence he is, we immediately retreat our thought to purchase it. And even strolling his phone in front of us. We felt so unappreciated as a customer. Will never go to city chain to buy any watch.

Brought my watch which was purchased elsewhere and asked if it was possible to fix the metal band/strap as it was spoilt. The kind female staff on duty helped to repair it. I forgot her name. But this was on 28th Feb, around 7.30pm. Service is great, thank you so much!

Had a great experience at the City Chain Vivo outlet thanks to Ivy! She was extremely helpful in assisting me with adjusting the links on my bracelet, even though it wasn’t originally from their store. Her willingness to help, paired with her extensive knowledge truly stood out. Ivy clearly knows what she’s doing and does it with kindness and professionalism. Really appreciate her service — thank you, Ivy!
