Tasty Japanese food. The rice bowls add more flavours and sauces than traditional Japanese food. Makes it very tasty (also a little heavier in mouth feel and on the stomach). Fried chicken was great. Nice and crunchy with the ginger soy flavour coming through. Nice decor and self service was easy and smooth

Got the white curry rice with karaage. The karaage was fried to oblivion, but they must have marinated it well cus after biting through the hard crust, the tough meat still tasted a lil juicy and savoury. They didn't give enough white curry. Felt like I finished my portion within five spoonfuls. The carrots weren't tender (and were cut into oblongs, which isn't great for cooking fast eh), and I had like 3 sticks of asparagus - which isn't even a full asparagus. Because there wasn't enough curry, it was kinda difficult for me to taste it well, but it was more like a creamy japanese curry? Staff wise, service was average, they didn't really talk to you. But there wasn't really any room behind the counter - single lane, with three guys already moving there, so this one lady had to keep standing either beside my table, or even at the shop front. Don't think they can really do anything about that though. Try something else on the menu?

okay decent place and pretty Value-for-money place if you are looking for bara chirashi dons. Spent 20 averagely for a set meal which includes main with salad and green tea. Sashimi cubes are okay fresh, no-fishy smell but the rice is somewhat lacking in vinegar taste, all stuck together and almost like satay-rice (ketupat) i was with a friend who told me the rice is not normally like this so i guess its a one-off thing. Staff is friendly and ready to help u find a seat. its a self-service place so order at the kiosk, wait for your order no. to be called, pick up your meal and enjoy. condiment available when you pick up your meal, ranging from wasabi, soysauce to chilli flakes etc

Hokkaido-ya delivers an excellent Japanese dining experience, with the star of the menu being their creamy ramen. The rich, flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles make it a must-try for ramen lovers. Pair it with their other Japanese dishes for a satisfying meal. Highly recommended!

Visited on a weekday evening, not crowded. The ambience was chill and cozy. Self service place so it was quite easy to order and dine. The food was quite delicious. The mentaiko was generous on the aburi salmon. Portion was slightly small. Mazesoba was also too wet. Corn croquette was crispy and juicy inside. Overall definitely worth a try.

The butter corn ramen is not bad, tasty broth with well cooked noodles. However the charshu is a little too tough. The salmon tamago don is alright, but might not be filling enough for a meal. Hokkaido white curry is delicious! Curry sauce is very tasty and addictive. Slightly towards the salty side though. Ebi is crunchy and yummy.

Had Bara Chirashi and spicy chashu ramen for dinner. The broth is super thick and nice. Will be a regular at this place for lunch/dinner.

Self order place. The service is good though you collect on own for food. Because I see the staff help customers to look for seats. Food wise very yummy. The ramen soup a little too sweet, best to reduce the sweetness. Overall, very yummy!

Food was underwhelming at best. Bara chirashi don / Salmon oyako tartar don - just average. I had Diarrhea runs later that night. Hokkaido butter corn chasyu Ramen- kids didn't liked it. Tried it myself and concluded the same. Eggs/chasyu was ok, but there was a distinct taste from the noodles, not too sure if it was alkaline or something else. Torikage was average but kani salad that came with the set turns out to be the best among everything else. Lol
