GVmax at Golden Village VivoCity represents the pinnacle of cinematic experience in Singapore, housed within one of the largest multiplex complexes in the country. Since Golden Village opened GV VivoCity in October 2006, GVmax has been the showpiece attraction - a stadium-style auditorium with 602 seats facing one of Asia's widest cinema screens. At 22.4 metres across (equivalent to two SBS buses placed end-to-end), the massive screen combined with 4K digital projection creates an immersive viewing experience that transforms blockbusters into spectacular events.
What truly sets GVmax apart is its groundbreaking audio technology. In November 2012, it became Southeast Asia's first cinema to install Dolby Atmos, the revolutionary 64.2 channel sound system that places speakers throughout the auditorium including overhead. This creates three-dimensional audio that moves around the space with pinpoint precision, making you feel like you're inside the movie rather than just watching it. The radial stadium seating ensures every seat offers an unobstructed view and optimal acoustics, whether you're catching the latest Marvel spectacular, a Christopher Nolan epic, or an IMAX-worthy adventure.
GV VivoCity serves as Golden Village's ninth flagship location, complementing GVmax with 11 additional stadium cinemas and three Gold Class luxury screening rooms for premium experiences. The complex's position within VivoCity makes it the natural entertainment destination after shopping or dining, whilst its proximity to HarbourFront MRT and Sentosa creates convenient access for moviegoers across Singapore. For those seeking the ultimate big-screen experience, GVmax remains the gold standard.

GV Max screen is excellent. But you can’t be having 30 minutes of ads! Movie scheduled at 9.05 but started at 9.35PM. 10-15mins of ads is acceptable, 30minutes is not especially when the same ads are being repeated. Pls look into this GV.

Watched PS1 movie.how the BGM and music. This theatre ruined the effects. Side sound bars are not working. Not even my home theatre effects. So much disappointed. I expect this movie so eagerly. Because of this theatre everything collapsed

When I watched Lilo n Stitch at GV Gold Bugis, I have had the Hawaii experience besides the action, adventure and comedy. Watching How to Train a Dragon at GVMax Vivocity, I enjoyed the cinema experience in a mega way and the seat was spacious and so comfortable. I missed the dine-in, blanket and adjustable reclining chair of GV Gold of course. I wonder if the two product segmentation is necessary, but I appreciate the uniqueness of either.
