The food is great especially the duck meat! The service is really great. The staff take it seriously on recommending dishes that I can take as I informed them that I have some allergies. For dinner time, they’re bound to be noisy and busy which is understandable. But definitely will go back again.

I would say that generally Dian Xiao Er food is very yummy. The main discount is the portion, which is smaller than the value in comparison. In terms of food quality: very good. Value for money: ok as portion can be smaller than expected Environment: generally good Service: all branches have the no reservation policy on weekends, and the entire part must be around before entering. But overall service is good, also depends on branches. For vivocity, do far ok, no bad services observed or encountered. For the visit, called in advance as all reservations were full online so called to check, and was told to just try to walk in (weekday evening). On the phone service person confirmed that we do not need all parties to be around before entering. However when my friend was instructed to wait for full party to arrive before getting us a table. Conflicting information which is disappointing hence the service stars at 3. We had to explain before getting the tables. When we arrive, it wasn't full house so wonder why we weren't able to reserve in advance. Other than that, highly recommend to enroll in the membership free, to get discounts. Food is truly yummy. The duck, the pork char siew. For example, good quality food.

Great discount of 40% is offered between 2:30 and 4:30pm on weekdays. I have had the roasted duck a few times and it is consistently very delicious. The angelica sauce is a bit sweet. Ordering can be done via the QR code.

Their ad on dishes tagged with 'Buah Keluak' or 'Nonya' caught our attention at lunch yesterday. But first a quick Nod to the hard working staff - attentive, quick reaction to requests and high productivity ! On top of their signature duck in 2 flavours we tried their Nonya inspired 'Buah Keluak' n 'Crab Roe Beehoon'. Verdict : Signature duck - full marks ! flavours were spot on, well balanced, moist n tender meat and consistent as ever - across different branches. Crab Roe Beehoon - 4 stars ! Visually decadent, obvious amount of scallops. However could do with a touch of greens -like spring onion leaves. WokHey is the next thing that hits your senses. The flavours came right after it. Didn't need any further tweaks of pepper or green chillies. Lastly the Buah Keluak Chicken : disclaimer - as a Peranakan I'm particularly biased towards the flavours that I grew up with and continue to search for places that serve food that represents the passion that goes into Peranakan cuisine. Sadly this dish didn't make the cut. Fried chicken placed on a splash of BK gravy, garnished with Ahchar. The gravy was flat, missing flavors of infused ingredients like galangal, shallots, lemon grass etc. Jullienned Kaffir lime leaves sprinkled over simply masked the lack of depth. It's more like Nasi Ulam than typical Ayam Buah Keluak.

Is a little pricey but the food is good and always up to standard. Love the duck doesn’t seems enough even though we ordered 1/2. You can order the signature set too!

Food taste is amazing, and most likely, it is their CharSiu.. Service is good, fast responsive, and polite. Environment is a little bit pack, but consider is clean. the only complaint is too bright. should install the curtains to block the sunlight.

First time trying Angelica roast duck — loved the light herbal fragrance, super comforting! The salted egg yolk shrimp balls were super bouncy and tasty too!

The overall ambiance of the restaurant is delightful, and the beautiful decor at the entrance drew me in. I must say their herbal duck leg truly stands out from other places. The rich, juicy texture offers an unforgettable treat for the taste buds, with every bite infused with the aroma of herbs. The stir-fried vegetables are also exceptionally crunchy and refreshing, though slightly heavier in flavor compared to other spots. However, the herbal chicken was less impressive—the meat was on the dry side. I’d definitely recommend going for the duck instead!

Dian xiao er has one of the best roast duck, but this time i tried other dishes. The salted egg prawns (small portion) is delicious! The prawns are plump and sweet, freshly fried to order. The salted egg is flavorful and not too salty, with generous amount of curry leaves to enhance the frangrance. I liked that the salted egg is the dry type instead of the creamy liquidy type. The ee fu noodles (medium portion) are good too, with scallops, mushrooms and green onion. The noodle is infused with the sauce and texture is just right. However, this dish is on the saltier side and lacks wok flavour. The remaining 2 dishes are not as satisfying. The la zi ji here (small portion) is bad and needs improvement. This dish really lacks chilli oil. I felt that the flavor and the fragrance is just not there. Although the amount of peppercorn is alot, the chicken is not numbing at all. Felt like they just poured the fried chicken on the peppercorns and dried chilli. The amount of chicken they give is not worth the price, and it is also dry and tough. Please avoid this dish. As for the salted egg lotus roots, i think this dish can be skipped. The salted egg here is the milky type, which makes it jelak and the liquid made the lotus roots are less crispy. I do like the yam tho.. its soft and sweet inside. Overall, i think this restaurant has amazing dishes like the roast duck, assam fish, claypot fish curry, cereal and salted egg prawns, mongolian pork ribs (depend on outlet), spinach with triple eggs, and lime kailan, which is worth eating and likely wont go wrong if you were to order the signatures. The other dishes would be a hit or miss..
