Popped in for our Mother’s Day lunch. Was excited because it has been a while since I visited quayside. Sadly, not the wisest decision because we are smacked inbetween one of the worst heatwaves in recent years and it was a record-setting Saturday.
Had a few dishes to share with the family. There are hits and misses but I think their stew/casserole dishes are quite winners. I did not have the chance to take a pic of the pig trotters and hot stone rice.
The minced meat brinjal, minced meat long beans were quite good in my opinion. But strangely, most in the family agreed that the plain bowl of rice was quite a winner! It’s really quite well done.
The service was quite uneven though. Staff informing that only the in-charge could take order but towards the end of the meal, anyone could take order. So it was puzzling, but other than that, service wasn’t bad.
Might return on a more cooling day (or night) where the food can be enjoyed better. ◡̈

Dropped by for a quick dinner. Indeed, it was quick. The food came soon after we ordered and all piping hot and tasty. The beef was absolutely tender. On the other hand, the beer was absolutely chilled! What's supposed to be hot is hot and what's supposed to be cold really chilled!👍
Service was good. The young ones tried their best.👍
Ambiance wise, nothing better than the breeze and view at the quayside.

We have dine at Blue Lotus since 2016 and it’s been over 7 years and their standards have remained excellent. I don’t think we have dined at any other crab establishment as much as we did at Blue Lotus as we probably just prefer the style / way of how the crab is prepared.
We have dined there with friends, family, celebration of birthdays and marriage anniversaries, hosted foreign friends, delegates and diplomats at this place and all have indicated how good the crab is. If memory serves us well, we even ordered once for delivery too! But honestly, it’s best to dine on site.
Blue Lotus prepares its crab in a unique, one of its kind way unlike the typical sweet and eggy gravy you can get at other establishments and that is perhaps what makes it stand out. What’s more, the crab is ALWAYS VERY fresh! Never had once a bad example over the years we have dined there.
We highly recommend this establishment, especially if you are a chili crab lover.
Tip: if you can’t take too spicy, do ask for mild spicy. Otherwise, regular spice is the way to go.

Managed to make a last minute reservation and the experience was good!
Came here on a Saturday night and was able to make a last minute prior. We got the table near the stairs which is where the service staff brings the food from the kitchen upstairs. Seat did not offer the most view but it was the most cooling as the restaurant doesn’t have air conditioning and faces thr setting sun.
I must say I was delighted with the service. I loved the chrysanthemum tea and The service staff was attentive and gave me a whole bucket of ice when I requested for it with my tea.
Food wise, the must order is the chilli crab with pomelo. It is a different take on a local dish and I was blown away with the morsels of pomelo which gave the dish a depth to its flavor. But mind you, this is a spicy dish. So be warned.
I ordered the mapo Toufu too which I thought was really well done and the portion was big for the price point. Do take note that this is a spicy dish.
Next up was the French beans (四季豆). The French beans was fresh and the mince meat was in every bite I took. The chef definitely knew customers like to have value in their meal and this was a very worth it dish.
Some customers have reviewed that some items were too spicy. I do think that dishes like the French beans, mapo Toufu n chilli crab are meant to be spicy and I think the restaurant chef does a good job in the spice level.
I would definitely revisit again and I do hope the restaurant keeps up the good service and the quality of the food. Thank you

A good twist to the Singapore Chilli Crab with Pamelo. The chilli sauce is like balachan with ginger flower, and the Pamelo is added to reduce the heat. The food is a little heavy on the salt for my taste. This helps the happy hour sale of beer!

I was looking for a restaurant to celebrate fathers day in Sentosa and chanced upon blue lotus. We were pleasantly surprised tp find a great restaurant. We ate one of the best chilli crab we ever had in SG. Most of the famous crab restaurants sell crabs in signature flavour such as pepper crab or bee hoon crabs. However, most restaurant did not do a good job for chilli crabs. Most of them adjusted the flavouring to suit tourists or wider audience and tend to taste sweeter rather than bringing out the chilli fragrant.
Blue lotus really delivered a very good dish of chilli crab with the seasoning nicely done and not overpowering to steal the limelight from the fragrant of the chilli and the perfect blending of its sauce. It is slight special with the drizzle of pomelo seeds over the dish. I personally like it because on top of the usual taste, it adds a bittersweet citrus flavour and elevate the whole taste. But my hub and kid prefer the original one. The fried matou goes perfectly well with dipping the sauce.
Other dishes are good too with the pork ribs very well flavoured and grilled. Meat was perfectly tendered. I personally love the fish maw soup. It was really flavourful with the beautiful pumpkin colour.
They also have kids meals if children don't want to share dishes with other adults. The portion was full adult size though.
We couldn't stop thinking of its chilli crab after the meal and will definitely come back for more.
Booking in advance is recommended. Like their thoughtfulness by messaging in the morning and confirming our reservation.

What's good - the food and the view. Liked the chili crab, pork ribs, fried rice and butter prawns best. Kudos to the chef, all the food was will executed.
Why I cannot recommend - service by this older lady was terrible, she mumbled something about kitchen is upstairs, you can't pick the 🦀 and sat me under hot sun during lunch.
Slightly better once I exclusively shun her for younger, prettier wait staff, but damage is done. For ~$50/person you can find better lunch experience at quayside.

A very nice place located at quayside isle within Sentosa. Very good service provided, yummy food and great presentation. The pork ribs is one of the best we ever had, and the chili crab is really unique with pomelo. Every dish is excellent, with good portion.
Just a bummer that the prawn paste chicken had been taken out of the menu now. really miss that too.

I really enjoyed the food here because everything was delicious. My only issue is with the types of crabs they have in Asia. I prefer the large, meaty Dungeness crabs from North America. However, the chili crab sauce here is incredible, so amazing that even Gordon Ramsay couldn't replicate it. If you get a fresh coconut and it taste off, make sure you let them know because it cost $8. Like all restaurants in Sentosa if you take the sanitary wipes it cost you $0.30. Make sure you keep an eye on this as they will charge you.

Blue Lotus consistently delivers a high quality menu. The chilli pomelo crab is a must have. Do make your reservation and let them know your intention. The crabs come in fresh every late afternoon.
The outdoor seating is a must book as well, the ambience is very enjoyable.
