Had the seafood buffet on Friday, very good value for money. Magician Linus was very entertaining. Restaurant wasn't super busy so I thought the staff could be a little faster to clear plates and refill water

Ambience is good and place is comfortable and well maintained. Food on the other hand tasted pretty average. Boston lobsters were very tough and chewy and that is my first and foremost memory of this meal. Seafood is relatively fresh tasting but most of the other food did not leave an impression.

Seafood Lover's Dream: Silver Shell Cafe's Buffet Nights! My dining experience at the Seafood Sensation Buffet Nights at Silver Shell Cafe was absolutely incredible! If you're a seafood enthusiast, this is an absolute must-try. The buffet offered a truly delectable spread, featuring an impressive array of snow crabs, succulent Boston lobsters, and a fantastic selection of premium seafood, all cooked in various mouth-watering styles. Every dish was fresh, flavourful, and perfectly prepared, showcasing a true understanding of seafood cuisine. The atmosphere, as part of the myriad of seaside dining experiences, was delightful, adding to the overall enjoyment. It was a feast for both the eyes and the palate, and I thoroughly enjoyed indulging in such high-quality seafood. Highly recommend for a memorable and luxurious seafood dining experience!

Please be aware that the restaurant tends to be overbooked over weekends. During breakfast, guests are often redirected to Level 5, a temporary setup in the ballroom. And for dinner, you may find yourself seated at the lower-tier coffee shop-style tables. While the food remains largely the same, the ambiance certainly differs. Across our 4 visits, the food selection was extensive and generally of good quality. However, we did encounter a melted Creme brulee. Also, guests seated outdoors in the morning should be mindful of birds attempting to snatch food. Activities like balloon sculpting and hand printing were available for children, but we observed that the entertainers seemed more attentive to larger groups, familiar faces, and Western guests. On one evening, a magician made table-to-table visits, but due to time constraint and huge number of children, those in smaller or more remote tables were missed out. A clustered performance format might allow more children to enjoy the experience. That said, I must commend Kumar for his excellent service recovery. We understood his intention, however it was by no means his fault for the overbooking we encountered over the days. He clearly did his best and we appreciate his efforts. Overall, service across the hotel and restaurant was good. We do hope Shangri-La will reassess some of those practices around dining arrangements and space allocation, to ensure guests aren’t left feeling short-changed. Perhaps introducing another dedicated dining venue would help. The rest of the hotel’s facilities continue to be excellent.

The restaurant buffet served wide range of dishes and we are not sure where to start. The Laksa tastes flavourful and delicious. We really love it. Indian cuisine is fantastic also. The dessert corner is wonderful all sorts of cakes available. Bread pudding and creme brulee taste great. My kids got the ice cream and candy floss. Thumb up to all the friendly staffs. Clearing the plate and serving us the water.

Beautifully thought out buffet concept both breakfasts and dinners. Really kid friendly (6 and under dine free and when we were there for dinner they gave a cute reusable goodie bag with water bottle, colouring pencils and reusable cutlery set). The kids section was designed specially for them, with the tables set lower and there was a diy cupcake and mocktail session which the kids absolutely had fun doing. As for the adults, they did not disappoint in this area too. Wide variety of food of different cuisines. Indian section was exceptional. Lobsters were also very fresh. Dessert station was decadent. There was even a cotton candy station! Breakfast was also top quality. Staff very friendly and prompt. Overall a five star experience!

We had 3 courses Set Lunch here, our selection for Appetizer were Tomato Soup, Ceasar Salad. And for Main course were Baby Pork Ribs, Ribeye Steak. For Dessert we had Fruit Platter, Choice of Ice Cream. Food were good, decent portion, nice presentation. But for the Baby Pork Ribs, meat was tender but I felt a bit of gamey taste. And the Ribeye Steak, I asked for medium doneness but it turned medium well when it served. Service was good and the staff were attentive. Nice atmosphere.

Excellent restaurant. We tried both a-la-carte and buffet dining multiple times and all experiences were great. Food is delicious and it offers a very wide range of international cuisine (Asian, Indian, Western). There are so many choices, you can eat something different every day. Also includes a separate corner for kids with appropriate food. The location is big, you can stay both inside or outside. Staff is very professional and helpful

Perfect afternoon stop to hide from hot sun! Ordered a few items as late lunch… all were good! Particularly love their crab meat fried rice… loaded with shrimps & crab meat! Super delicious! Hot dog set was good too, my son gulped the set down in no time. Classic sandwich very good too, perfect for sharing. Price is hotel pricing, high but worthy it just for the cold air!😄
