Horrible shopping experience & customer services!!!
Found an item I was going to buy, but the packaging was opened!! After checking with staff, who didn't bother to check the cashier system, till i asked her to, it was the last item!!
Cashier lady explained, maybe someone opened to flip through...was not willing to give me any discount, such a bad service!
Items was imported from China, but overpriced compared to 'Turtle' or 'The Green Party', even their service was better than Popular, when product packaging or item was slightly damaged, they will at least gave a discount!

Funny. A bookstore named "Popular" but DOES NOT CARRY ANY POPULAR books. We couldn't find Educated by Tara Westover (number 1 book for weeks now) in the store. They don't seem to have that many books here neither. Mostly elementary education books and school supplies.

called several popular stores to find a particular book that was sold out EVERYWHERE😠this store had it and the lady on the line was super nice and reserved it for me. came down to collect it and everything was super quick and efficient. would shop here again, they have a wider variety of books and even some special additions. …

You'd be either extremely lucky, or determined to find it. Tucked away in a discreet corner in Basement One, where sportswear dominates, this store is less crowded but still has everything you expect from Popular.
Usual grouses: narrow aisles, brusque stock stickers ("execute me"), and outrageous prices (subjective on my part). For an educational place, the culture here is business first. Heritage has gone out of the windows since air-conditioning came about.
I don't think anyone cares - unless you are over 70 years old and can handle cashless transactions.
