Very surprised with the good reviews, given my experience.
Service: bad. the waiter spilled water while serving drinks, but didn’t clean up after that.
Waiting time: long. 30-45min wait with only 5 tables including mine on weekend lunch hours.
Food: disappointing for all 3 dishes ordered. Bak Ku Teh only had pepper taste. Salmon was fishy and not well cooked. Crab meat linguine was too spicy and too oily (despite special request to be less spicy and oily).
Won’t be returning.

The service was good but the value was absolutely terrible. This is a photo of the “jumbo chicken skewers” for $22 plus the service fee. There is nothing jumbo about them. The other meals were tasty, but has the similar pricing.
A small bottle of beer is $18.

Waited over an hour for our mains. The appetisers came quickly, but I had to ask three times for our mains. Definitely not coming back.
Granted, it's a Saturday evening during school holidays, but no one should be forced to wait this long. It's noisy, kids are crying...I give 2/10 for ambience and management.
Really not worth the wait.

I am the oldest daughter of @JC Chan(Purple Icon), posted a review 2 years ago. I love to do google reviews, so here I am, reviewing on the one and only NATIVE KITCHEN!!! The staff were friendly and attentive. The choices of food may not be extensive but the collection is good enough for everyone. It’s range from local, western and international. Food is scrumptious and so does the ambience. We are glad to be served by Uncle Rommel. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The food was amazing — truly authentic Singaporean flavors that hit all the right spots. Every dish was packed with taste and beautifully presented.
The restaurant itself is spacious and thoughtfully designed, offering great personal space which made the experience even more comfortable and enjoyable.
A perfect spot for both tourists and locals looking to savour quality local cuisine in a relaxed setting. Will definitely be back again!

The food was amazing and the price fair. However, the dishes took quite long as they were cooked only when ordered. Not for sit-down customers but rather fine dining. Amazing!

Very good experience dinning in Native kitchen. Food is delicious and the atmosphere is comfortable, makes you want to stay longer. We ordered pizza and vegetarian biryani on the first night in Village hotel. There are many selections of local Singapore food in the menu. The service is good. The server ( could be the manager), named Romman, bother to ask if our food is good. We went back to this restaurant on the 3rd day of our stay. Romman remembered us and welcomed us back. I ordered the delicious biryani again, however I did not specify what kind of biryani. To my surprised, Romman remembered, and brought us the correct vegetarian biryani.Very impressed!

Located at the lobby level of Village Hotel Sentosa makes dining on rainy day pleasant as it is accessible. However, the food is not great but of average standard. The Hainanese Chicken Rice and the Sirloin Steak are a disappointment. Chicken is not smooth, it lacks moisture and taste. Moreover, the soup that came with it is not hot enough. In fact, Tian Tian Chicken Rice is far better. The Sirloin Steak is also not value of money. Taste pales in comparison to many cafes I have been to. You can skip these 2 dishes. But I must say the satay, burger and herbal chicken soup is good. Soup was served piping hot, chicken skewers were moist, tender and tasted good and the patty of the burger is moist and delicious. Atmosphere and service were good. The service crew were pleasant and all served with smiles and enthusiasm. Dining area is huge and tables were spaced out to give privacy to diners.
