MUJI transforms the Level 2 space at VivoCity into a minimalist sanctuary of functional design, bringing the Japanese retailer's philosophy of "no-brand quality goods" to HarbourFront shoppers since its founding concept emerged in 1980. The store's clean lines, neutral tones, and soft lighting create an inherently calming atmosphere that turns shopping into a meditative experience rather than a frenzied hunt. This thoughtful spatial design reflects MUJI's core belief that good products need no excessive branding or decoration, letting quality materials and intelligent design speak for themselves.
The product range spans an impressive breadth of life categories, from clothing and home organization essentials to stationery, health and beauty items, Japanese snacks, furniture, and even electronics. Whether you're furnishing an entire apartment with MUJI's signature comfortable sofas and modular storage systems, stocking up on their cult-favorite gel pens and minimalist notebooks, or exploring natural skincare and home fragrance options, the curated selection maintains consistent quality standards across categories. The housewares section particularly shines with kitchen utensils, fabric organizers, and interior decor pieces that exemplify practical elegance. Food lovers appreciate the authentic Japanese snacks and pantry staples that bring Tokyo's convenience store culture to Singapore.
Operating with extended weekend hours from 10am to 10pm on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, plus weekday availability from 11am to 9pm, the VivoCity outlet accommodates various shopping schedules. Staff deliver service that customers describe as noticeably warm and personal, offering helpful guidance through product features without aggressive sales tactics. This combination of serene store ambiance, comprehensive product offerings, and genuine customer care makes MUJI VivoCity a destination for both purposeful shopping trips and leisurely browsing sessions. It's the rare retail space where you actually want to linger, discovering smart design solutions you didn't know you needed.

I paid 0.20 for a bag but the worker didn't give it to me. He asked if I wanted one and I said yes, paying the extra 0.20 just to avoid getting a bag. If you don't want to give me a bag then don't ask me lah. SMH

I'm baffled by the experience and was asked to check and say no returns. Little did I know the unit was broken. Why muji display broken item. Please check inside the drawer as well if you are purchasing the drawers

🟦 Muji remains one of my favourite stops for simple & well-designed essentials.
🟦 The moment you step in, the store's decor speaks volumes — clean lines, neutral tones, and soft lighting create a calm & soothing atmosphere that makes browsing a relaxing experience. 🩶 Everything is arranged thoughtfully, allowing space to breathe and explore.
🖤 On this visit, I picked up two tubs of Instant Japanese Rice, a packet of Octopus Crackers, and a set of MUJI toothbrushes. ▪︎ As always, the merchandise lives up to Muji's reputation — minimalist, functional, and good quality without the frills.
🟧 Unlike many stores these days that now rely on self-checkout kiosks, MUJI still has cashiers manning the payment counters. ✔️ The service was noticeably warm and personal — a refreshing contrast to places like Daiso, where service tends to be more transactional.
🔵 Here, the staff were polite and efficient, adding to the overall pleasant shopping experience. 🟩 I do recommend Muji at VivoCity if you’re after a blend of aesthetic calm, practical & quality goods, and good service.

I always enjoy shopping at MUJI. The store has such a calming atmosphere, and everything is neatly organised. I came in to look for some storage boxes and ended up picking up a few extra things (as usual). The staff were friendly and quick to help me find the right sizes. The quality of their products never disappoints—simple, practical, and well-made. Definitely one of my go-to stores.
