Hair for Hope 2026 at VivoCity Supports Children Affected by Cancer
VivoCity hosted Hair for Hope over the weekend, with participants shaving their heads, donating and showing support for children and families affected by cancer. The 2026 edition, themed "This is our Shared Journey," drew volunteers and corporate teams to the mall for the charity event.
Teams from the Central Provident Fund Board, SATS, Nanyang Polytechnic Agency and Microsoft Singapore were among the organisations taking part. Participants wore matching blue shirts as they gathered for group photos at the event display.
Head-Shaving Sessions
Stylists shaved participants' heads with electric clippers during the event. Each shavee sat in a white salon cape while uniformed team members worked through the sessions, in a public act of solidarity with children and families affected by cancer.
Volunteer Stylists on the Ground
Stylists wearing Stared & Jemel branded shirts were among the teams providing the shaves. A blue circular sticker reading "10 PM" on one client's cape marked his scheduled slot, reflecting the steady flow of participants through the day.
Children's Cancer Foundation Booth
The Children's Cancer Foundation set up a booth at the mall carrying the campaign theme "The Journey Continues." The booth invited visitors to share their messages with children and families impacted by cancer, and groups of supporters posed for photos at the display.
Messages of Encouragement
Visitors also penned handwritten notes of encouragement at the event. One sticky note read "Don't Give Up," a simple message of support for families on their cancer journey.
VivoCity thanked everyone who shaved, donated and showed their support at Hair for Hope, noting that every act of kindness can make a meaningful difference for children and families affected by cancer.
