Working Hours: Monday – Thursday (8.30am – 6pm), Friday (8.30am – 5.30pm) (Hybrid working arrangement) 
Working Location: South
Salary Package: SGD 9,000 + AWS 
Employment Type: 3 months contract

We are seeking a Database Administrator who is proficient in Azure and experienced in database migration projects, particularly in planning, executing, and stabilising migrations using Azure Database Migration Service (DMS).

Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, execution, and stabilisation of the DMS database migration to Microsoft Azure
• Own migration activities across Month 1 & 2 (Preparation) and Month 3 (Migration & Cutover)
• Assess current on-prem / legacy database architecture and define the target Azure database design
• Perform database sizing, capacity planning, and performance baseline analysis prior to migration
• Design and validate the migration strategy using Azure Database Migration Service (DMS)
• Prepare detailed migration runbooks, rollback plans, and cutover procedures
• Configure and provision Azure database services (e.g., Azure SQL / Managed Instance) according to best practices
• Conduct schema validation, compatibility checks, and data integrity verification before migration
• Execute trial migrations and performance testing to ensure readiness for production cutover
• Monitor migration progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure minimal downtime during cutover
• Perform post-migration validation, tuning, and performance optimisation
• Implement database monitoring, backup, recovery, and high availability configurations in Azure
• Ensure security, access control, and compliance with organisational policies
• Work closely with application, infrastructure, and security teams to coordinate migration dependencies
• Provide knowledge transfer, documentation, and handover to operations team after stabilisation
• Support hypercare period post-migration to resolve any production issues promptly

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Database Administration
• Proficient in Microsoft Azure database services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance)
• Hands-on experience with Azure Database Migration Service (DMS) and database migration projects
