Senior Engineer (Controls Engineering)

Job Summary

Resorts World Sentosa is looking for a Senior Engineer (Controls Engineering) to join the team to support the reliability, safety, and performance of rides and show equipment at Universal Studios Singapore. It involves troubleshooting, preventive and predictive maintenance, and engineering validation to ensure smooth park operations. The incumbent also supports ride enhancements, engineering change processes, and compliance with safety standards, while working closely with technical teams in a dynamic, shift-based environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the engineering validation, reliability centered maintenance analysis & configuration control of all amusement rides/show equipment

• Contribute to key troubleshooting efforts and reliability improvements of amusement ride and show equipment, through better diagnostics, approved/improved software revisions, technician training, and Preventive Maintenance strategy.

• Support major ride enhancement projects, ensuring compliance with applicable standards.

• Perform research and implement solutions for Predictive Maintenance technology to improve operational reliability of rides.

• Support Engineering Change process and review of Service Bulletins.

• Understand amusement ride safety

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic or Computer Engineering.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience with the PLC Systems, preferably Allen Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix, SLC 500 and Siemens S7

Required Skills

• Experience with Variable Frequency Drives will be advantageous.

• Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle process/standard electrical schematic diagrams/Change Control process.

• Logical approach to troubleshooting and the ability to perform complex system tests.

• As part of defect troubleshooting, the applicant must be able to Work-At-Heights and be able to take the rides.

• Able to perform shifts including weekends and public holidays.

• Ability to work with diverse group of technical team members.
