Job Summary
The Product Manager – Telecommunications & ICT is
responsible for defining, developing, and managing telecom and ICT products
across their full lifecycle. This role bridges business, technology, and
customer needs to deliver competitive solutions in areas such as connectivity,
cloud, cybersecurity, IoT, unified communications, and managed services,
tailored to the Singapore and regional enterprise/consumer markets.
The role requires close collaboration with engineering,
sales, marketing, operations, and external partners to ensure successful
product launches, profitability, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Define
product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with company objectives and
market trends in Singapore and ASEAN
- Identify
new product opportunities based on customer needs, competitive analysis,
and emerging technologies
- Conduct
market research on telecom and ICT services (e.g., 5G, broadband, cloud,
SD-WAN, IoT, cybersecurity)
Product Development & Lifecycle Management
- Own
the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept, business case, development,
launch, enhancement, to retirement
- Translate
business and customer requirements into detailed product specifications
and user stories
- Work
closely with engineering, network, IT, and vendors to ensure timely and
high-quality delivery
Go-to-Market & Commercial Management
- Define
pricing, packaging, and positioning strategies for enterprise and/or
consumer segments
- Support
go-to-market planning, including sales enablement, marketing collateral,
and launch activities
- Monitor
product performance (revenue, margin, adoption, churn) and drive
continuous improvements
Stakeholder & Customer Engagement
- Collaborate
with sales, pre-sales, customer success, and operations teams to support
deals and deployments
- Engage
enterprise customers, partners, and system integrators to gather feedback
and validate solutions
- Act as
the product subject matter expert internally and externally
Regulatory & Operational Compliance
- Ensure
products comply with Singapore regulations and standards (e.g., IMDA,
PDPA, cybersecurity requirements)
- Work
with legal, compliance, and operations teams to manage risk and service
quality
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s
degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or
related field
- 3–8
years of experience in product management, preferably in telecommunications,
ICT, or technology services
- Strong
understanding of telecom and ICT domains such as:
- Mobile
and fixed networks (4G/5G, fiber)
- Cloud
and data center services
- Enterprise
connectivity and managed services
- Cybersecurity,
IoT, or digital solutions (preferred)
Skills & Competencies
- Strong
analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent
stakeholder management and communication abilities
- Commercial
mindset with experience in pricing, P&L, or business cases
- Ability
to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Familiarity
with Agile / Scrum product development methodologies is a plus
- Knowledge
of the Singapore telecom and ICT market is highly desirable
Preferred Attributes
- Experience
working with telcos, system integrators, or ICT service providers
- Exposure
to enterprise or government sector customers in Singapore
- Certifications
such as Scrum Product Owner, PMP, ITIL, or cloud certifications (AWS,
Azure, GCP) are advantageous
