Platform Engineer (On Prem | Cloud)

About the role:

We are seeking a Platform Engineer to maintain and support on-premises and cloud infrastructure, ensuring reliability, driving operational improvements, and supporting modernization efforts while working with stakeholders to keep systems stable and efficient.

Working Hours: Mon-Fri, Office hours
Salary package: $9500 (basic) + AWS

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain infrastructure platforms (compute, storage, virtualization) across development, staging, and production environments
• Follow platform standards and implement automation and operational practices to improve efficiency and reliability
• Manage virtualization platforms, including monitoring, performance tuning, and lifecycle activities
• Execute patching, security controls, and compliance monitoring to ensure platform stability and security
• Provide L2/L3 support, troubleshoot incidents, and work with teams on platform performance and scalability
• Maintain backup, disaster recovery, high availability setups, and ensure proper documentation and runbooks

Requirement:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Min 2 years of experience in infrastructure or platform operations, with exposure to both on-premises and cloud environments
• Familiar with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
• Exposure to containerization and orchestration platforms (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
• Good to have experience in government or regulated environment projects
