Platform Engineer (OpenShift | Automation)

About the Role:

We are seeking a Platform Engineer to design, build, and automate scalable and secure container platforms using Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes. You will leverage tools like Terraform, Ansible, and GitOps to enhance platform reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.

Working Hours: Mon-Fri, Office hours
Salary package: UP to $9,500 (basic) + AWS
Job Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and automate the lifecycle of OpenShift clusters, treating infrastructure as code.
• Develop automation for cluster provisioning, upgrades, and scaling using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Python.
• Implement and maintain OpenShift components, including networking (OVN-Kubernetes) and storage (ODF/Ceph).
• Ensure platform reliability, performance, and high availability through optimization and monitoring.
• Implement GitOps workflows for cluster configuration and deployment management.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience with strong expertise in Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (Bash or Python).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Knowledge of container networking and storage (e.g., SDN, OVN, Ceph/ODF).
• Familiarity with GitOps principles and tools.
