Operations Support Engineer | AWS

• Working Hours: Mon-Fri (Hybrid)
• Location: Central
• Remuneration: Up to $10,000 + AWS

We are seeking an Operations Support Engineer to manage and optimise cloud and infrastructure platforms, ensuring reliability, security, and performance across environments. This role involves hands-on system administration, automation, monitoring, and troubleshooting, working closely with engineering teams to maintain stable, scalable platforms and support continuous delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud and on-prem infrastructure across environments
• Manage compute, storage, networking, virtualisation, and container platforms
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions
• Automate infrastructure using IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
• Administer AWS services and optimise performance and cost
• Ensure system reliability, availability, and scalability through SRE practices
• Perform patching, upgrades, and security hardening
• Maintain backups, disaster recovery, and high-availability setups
• Troubleshoot incidents and support application/engineering teams
• Document architectures, runbooks, and standard operating procedures

Requirements

• Degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Strong Linux/Windows administration and networking fundamentals
• Scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Node.js)
• Experience with monitoring tools, CI/CD, Git, and automation
• Familiarity with virtualisation and container technologies; certifications are a plus
