Cybersecurity Operations Manager

• Remuneration: Up to $9,000 + AWS

The Cybersecurity Operations Manager leads the organization’s security operations to protect systems, networks, and data from evolving cyber threats. This role is responsible for security governance, incident response, risk management, and continuous improvement of security capabilities while working closely with stakeholders and partners to maintain a strong and resilient security posture.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and action plans.
• Lead security operations including monitoring, detection, and incident response.
• Manage the full incident lifecycle: triage, containment, investigation, and recovery.
• Conduct risk assessments and drive remediation across infrastructure and applications.
• Evaluate and deploy security tools to strengthen security posture.
• Establish security governance frameworks and operational procedures.
• Monitor emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack trends.
• Review alerts from SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management platforms.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to resolve security issues.
• Oversee forensic investigations and evidence handling when required.
• Maintain asset onboarding and inventory in security monitoring systems.
• Communicate security risks, incidents, and improvements to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Proven experience in cybersecurity operations or infrastructure security.
• Strong knowledge of security principles, frameworks, and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with security tools (SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management, network security).
• Familiarity with incident response and forensic investigation techniques.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.
