Cloud Platform Engineer

Role Overview

Join an engineering team responsible for building and operating a secure, scalable cloud platform that enables rapid application development and deployment on commercial cloud infrastructure. This role focuses on platform automation, container orchestration, and reliability engineering to support enterprise-grade services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and automate the full lifecycle of OpenShift clusters, treating infrastructure as code.
• Develop and maintain scalable automation for cluster provisioning, upgrades, patching, and scaling using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Python.
• Implement and manage core OpenShift components, including networking (OVN-Kubernetes) and storage (OpenShift Data Foundation / Ceph).
• Drive platform reliability, performance tuning, and high availability for containerized environments.
• Implement and maintain GitOps workflows for cluster configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define platform standards, best practices, and secure configurations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform-level issues, ensuring operational stability and performance.

Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure roles.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes internals.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Bash and/or Python.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Solid understanding of container platform networking (SDN, OVN) and storage solutions (Ceph/ODF).
• Familiarity with GitOps principles and tools (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux).
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on automation, scalability, and reliability.
