Job Description

This position will define how HP shapes the future of the PC category as the AI era accelerates—turning innovation into scale, partnerships into revenue, and ecosystems into competitive advantage.

Role Purpose

The Lead of AI Strategy & Partnerships is a senior strategic leadership role responsible for driving HP’s AI agenda across Greater Asia, accelerating the adoption of AI PCs, and shaping future revenue engines in collaboration with our ecosystem of technology and business partners. The role will own and scale HP Garage 2.0, HP’s flagship AI innovation and ecosystem development platform in Singapore, built in partnership with EDB Singapore, in service of positioning HP as a critical catalyst in the region’s AI transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership on AI & Ecosystem

Define and execute the regional AI strategy aligned with global priorities, ensuring Greater Asia leads AI PC category growth.

Act as internal AI champion, enabling cross-functional teams (Sales, Category, Marketing, Customer Support) to adopt and integrate AI-driven initiatives.

Lead regional initiatives to accelerate AI PC adoption, building business insights, use cases, and value propositions for priority industry segments.

2. HP Garage 2.0 Leadership

Serve as Project owner of HP Garage 2.0, responsible for vision, strategy, and operational scaling of the platform.

Drive collaboration across ecosystem with Alliance partners, EDB Singapore, government bodies, Start Ups, cloud Partners  and innovation ecosystem players to position HP as a strategic partner in strengthening the Singapore and Greater Asia AI ecosystem.

Build and implement a new revenue model leveraging HP Garage 2.0 services, partner monetization, and IP co-creation.

Enable HP Partners to be ready to adopt & sell solutions with AI PC + AI Solution to grow, create differentiator by working with channel team.

3. Partnerships & Alliances

Establish and expand strategic partnerships with:

  • Cloud hyperscalers (e.g., Nebius, Microsoft, Google)
  • Semiconductor partners (e.g., Intel, AMD, Qualcomm, NVIDIA)
  • Enterprise and ISV AI solution providers – Scale Ups & Start ups
  • Venture Capital firms and accelerators – Antler, Betatron, Thinkuvate
  • Academic and research networks – SMU, NUS, NTU and Others

Develop co-innovation and go-to-market programs to create demand for AI PCs and HP’s commercial solutions.

4. Governance & Execution Excellence

Track performance analytics, program ROI, and reporting for GBU and regional leadership.

Lead 3 specialist contract roles:

Program Manager – HP Garage 2.0

Oversees program delivery, KPIs, and operations of the cohort structure.

Community Manager – HP Garage 2.0

Manages startup engagement, events, and ecosystem growth.

Technology Evangelist – AI Solutions

Validates solutions on HP platforms and evangelizes AI PC capabilities.

5. AI Education & Internal Adoption

Team Publishes a monthly AI@HP Newsletter, summarizing market developments (e.g., Google I/O, Microsoft Build), internal milestones, and use cases.

Hosts “AI Demo Days” – recurring innovation sessions inviting emerging AI startups to showcase relevant tools and platforms to HP teams.

Sandboxes :Identifies internal business challenges across Marketing, SMB, Legal, Government Affairs, etc., and matches them with relevant AI solution providers.

6.Cross-Functional Collaboration – Category, Marketing, PR, Sales, GBU, Channel, Legal, govt affairs

  • Partners with Marketing and PR to build HP’s external thought leadership in AI through earned media, events, social amplification, and influencer engagement.
  • Leads AI-focused event strategy (e.g., HP AI PC launch showcases, AI roundtables, analyst briefings).
  • Acts as bridge between Sales Enablement, Channel Teams, and Category to scale AI messaging across partner ecosystem.

7. Key Performance Indicators

  • AI PC category growth and attach rate performance in Greater Asia
  • Number and success outcomes of ecosystem partnerships through HP Garage 2.0
  • Consistently creating new AI Cohorts for HP Garage 2.0
  • Internal Sandboxes and successes with AI Cohorts
  • Creation and scaling of AI PC-led monetization models
  • Visibility and positioning of HP as a leader in AI innovation across the region
  • Drive adoption of best in class AI powered capabilities within HP’s ecosystem to drive productivity gains
  • Capitalize on ecosystem built by HP by monetizing revenue share benefits – goal is to be fully self-funded in 18 months self funding within 18 months
  • Funnel investment-grade candidates for consideration by HP Tech Ventures (Venture capital arm of HP)

Required Skills & Experience

15–20+ years in technology business leadership roles (PC, ISVs, Cloud, AI, or ecosystem strategy)

Proven success in:

  • Building high-impact strategic alliances
  • Leading innovation and digital transformation programs
  • Partner ecosystem expansion with government involvement
  • Strong understanding of AI computing architectures and commercial AI use cases
