Responsibilities
- Originate and develop creative design concepts and the design documents during the design development phase
- Develop solutions to design and detailing issues
- Support the resolution of design solutions during the construction documents and construction administration phases
- Oversee project team members or less experienced designers to ensure design intent
- Ensure project is on schedule and within budget
- Ensure that documentation for all phases conforms to quality assurance, quality control and best practice standards
- Set up project team software parameters and manage standards
- Communicate with client representatives to verify design requirements and specifications, progress reviews and design delivery
- Prepare client presentations and present design concepts and drawings
- Provide technical support and project communications to the team as required
- Attend on-site visits and client meetings to verify design requirements and deliver design progress reviews
Qualities and skills required
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree/Professional Degree/Master's Degree in Architecture from a recognized institution registrable with BOA or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in the related field
- Advanced design, visual, and graphic presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage the design of small to large projects to fruition
- Well-versed with contract admin, local Authorities regulations and codes, and knowledge of Virtual Design and Construction (VDC)/Corenet-X
- Conversant with REVIT and 3D Software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
