Data & AI Engineer

Overview
We are looking for a versatile Software Engineer (Data & AI) to join our Data Innovation Team. In this role, you will design and build scalable data-driven applications, develop high-performance data pipelines, and integrate AI-driven logic to support business insights. This position involves full-stack development and working closely with cross-functional teams to turn complex data into impactful solutions.

• Working Hours: Mon -Fri
• Working Location: Central
• Salary SGD 5,000 – SGD 6,500

Key Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions using modern data architecture and engineering practices
• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications supporting data and AI initiatives
• Build responsive frontend interfaces and data visualizations to present analytical insights
• Develop and optimize data pipelines and workflows to support machine learning models
• Ensure smooth integration between backend systems, APIs, and frontend components
• Manage application lifecycle including deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Strong programming experience in Python (PySpark), Java, or C++
• Experience in full-stack development (frontend and backend)
• Familiarity with data engineering, AI, or machine learning workflows
• Understanding of data-oriented design and object-oriented programming (OOP)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment

Highly Desired Skills

• Experience with Databricks ecosystem (Delta Lake, Spark SQL, Databricks Workflows)
• Familiarity with MLflow or similar tools for model deployment and monitoring
• Experience with DevOps practices for data applications, including Git, CI/CD, and Docker
• Exposure to Lakehouse architecture and modern data platforms
