Community Engagement Manager (AI Programmes)

As an AI Programme and Community Engagement Manager, you will support programmes and initiatives that foster interest in data science and artificial intelligence within the public sector. This role focuses on community engagement, event coordination, and stakeholder collaboration to drive participation and awareness of AI-related initiatives.

While deep technical expertise in AI is not required, a strong interest in generative AI trends and tools will be valuable in supporting related activities and discussions.

Key Responsibilities

Community Building & Engagement

• Support the growth of a cross-agency AI learning community of approximately 7,500 members, spanning both technical and non-technical audiences

• Design engagement approaches that make AI learning accessible and relevant across diverse job roles

• Build and maintain relationships with speakers, facilitators, and community partners to ensure programmes remain inclusive, engaging, and impactful

Stakeholder & Partner Collaboration

• Work closely with government agencies, internal AI product teams, and external collaborators to align expectations, timelines, and deliverables

• Explore available AI tools within the public sector ecosystem and assess their suitability for flagship programmes

• Coordinate with partners, judges, and speakers to ensure smooth programme execution and positive participant experiences

Programme Planning & Delivery

• Play a central role in the planning and execution of Prompt Royale and other AI gamification initiatives

• Support end-to-end organisation of workshops, showcases, and learning challenges, including logistics, registration, venue setup, participant onboarding, and on-site operations

• Assist with post-event reporting, feedback collection, and documentation of programme highlights

Content & Communications

• Contribute ideas for creative AI gamification formats and challenge designs

• Support the development of presentation decks, promotional materials, and communications

• Capture success stories and key learnings, and stay informed on emerging AI tools and use cases to inspire future initiatives

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in community engagement, programme coordination, event planning, or related roles

• Prior exposure to AI, technology, or innovation-related projects is advantageous but not required

• Strong interest in generative AI platforms (e.g., OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Google DeepMind’s Gemini, Anthropic’s Claude, Perplexity AI) and willingness to stay updated on emerging tools

• Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage logistics and timelines effectively

• Good written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders across different levels

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for coordination and reporting
