Cloud Operations Manager (AWS)

We are looking for a Cloud Operations Manager to play a pivotal role in designing, operating, and modernising cloud environments for our client. You’ll work hands-on across AWS cloud environment, driving automation, reliability, and security for large-scale, enterprise-grade platforms.

Working Hours: Mon-Fri, Office hours

Employment Type: Contract (Renewable)

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and support AWS cloud platforms in regulated environments

• Manage Day-2 operations, including incident, problem, change, availability, and capacity management

• Ensure compliance with government security, audit, and governance standards (e.g. GCC, IM8)

• Implement and maintain monitoring, automation, backup, and disaster recovery solutions

• Deliver cloud initiatives such as migrations, upgrades, and platform enhancements

• Apply ITIL / ITSM best practices and contribute to service performance monitoring.

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve issues and ensure service delivery

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in cloud platform operations (AWS), exp with GCC would be advantageous

• Good understanding of ITIL processes, security controls, and compliance requirements

• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools

• Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills
