Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Azure)

Working Hours: Mon-Fri, Office hours
Employment Type: Contract, renewable basis
Salary: UP to $8,000 (Depending on exp)

• Operate, manage, and optimise Azure and on-premise infrastructure, covering compute, storage, and virtualisation.

• Drive automation, platform standardisation, and configuration management to improve system reliability and operational efficiency.

• Perform security patching, access control, system hardening, and compliance monitoring in line with IM8 and enterprise standards.

• Provide L2/L3 operational support for Azure platforms, including incident resolution and root-cause analysis.

• Support containerisation, hybrid cloud architectures, and cloud modernisation initiatives aligned with government technology strategies.

• Maintain backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability frameworks, including SOPs and technical documentation.

Key Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure core services, including:

○ Compute and container platforms (Virtual Machines, AKS, App Services)

○ Networking components (VNets, VPN Gateway, Load Balancers, Application Gateway)

○ Data and storage services (Storage Accounts, SQL and NoSQL databases)

○ Monitoring and security tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Defender for Cloud)

• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and/or Ansible is an advantage.

• Proficiency in automation and scripting using PowerShell and/or Bash for operational and maintenance tasks.

Understanding of IM8 compliance requirements and/or relevant industry best practices in regulated environments.
