Assistant Director (Legal Services - Public Agency)

• Basic up to $9,500 per month + AWS + PB
• Permanent role on 3-year renewal basis
• Mon - Fri, office hours
• Lavender MRT

Responsibilities:

• Work with senior management to develop and implement organisational policies and strategic actions.
• Draft, review, and provide legal advice on legislation, subsidiary legislation, and a wide range of regulatory matters.
• Provide legal interpretation and guidance on various laws relevant to the organisation’s functions and operations.
• Advise on corporate and contractual matters, including tenders, MOUs, tenancy agreements, and commercial documents.
• Establish internal legal frameworks, processes, and repositories to support consistent legal guidance across divisions.
• Manage contentious issues and coordinate with external legal counsel on complex matters and projects.

Requirements:

1. Singaporeans only.
2. Possesses a Bachelor's Degree in Law and be called to the Singapore Bar (or other commonwealth jurisdictions).
3. Have at least 4 years post-qualification experience. Corporate work experience (especially in contract law) would be an advantage.
4. Good communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to write and reason clearly and compellingly is essential.
