Assistant Cook

Job Description & Requirements

Our restaurant specializing in Chinese cuisine is looking for a reliable and experienced Assistant Cook to support our kitchen operations.
The ideal candidate should be familiar with basic Chinese cooking methods, food preparation processes, and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing ingredients for Chinese dishes (cutting, marinating, portioning, etc.)

• Support the Chef in daily cooking and kitchen operations

• Ensure dishes are prepared according to restaurant standards and recipes

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area

• Assist in monitoring stock levels and kitchen supplies

• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations

• Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques and kitchen workflow

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a team

• Good attitude, responsible, and willing to learn

• Able to stand for long hours and work in a kitchen environment
