Application Support Engineer (L2)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2 application and system support, investigating incidents, alerts, and performance issues to restore services within SLA timelines.
• Troubleshoot complex problems using logs, monitoring tools, and diagnostics; conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive fixes.
• Collaborate with L3 engineers, DevOps teams, and vendors to resolve escalated technical issues and support deployments or releases.
• Monitor system health proactively, execute approved patches/configuration changes, and maintain operational stability.
• Maintain clear documentation (runbooks, SOPs, incident reports) and support compliance, audits, and security best practices.

Requirements

• Diploma or higher in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• Min. 4 years of working experience in application/system support or operations roles.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS preferred), databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), and REST API integrations would be advantageous.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and incident-handling skills in high-availability or mission-critical environments.
• Familiarity with ticketing/on-call processes, change management practices, and operational documentation standards.
